Every fashion piece has a story to tell and this is the narrative I aimed to explore with my autobiography of a pair of Air Force 1 sneakers. By incorporating fashion awareness with critical thinking, I crafted a story that approaches an inanimate object with emotional weight.

For this academic essay, I closely examined a Victorian corset to prove how it represents the role of women in the nineteenth century. Being a thesis-driven paper, this assignment helped me develop a critical perspective to articulate how this corset represents the culture in which it was produced.
